2nd Sunday Hike – October 13, 2024 – Merrimac Farm Wildlife Management Area

Please join us for the hike on Sunday, Oct 13, 2024. Click here to register. We will hike about 3.5 miles on the trails at Merrimac Farm Wildlife Management Area in Nokesville, VA. The route is flat, and mostly on natural surface trails – a combination of old gravel farm roads, mowed grassy paths, and a single track through the woods along Cedar Run (part of the Bluebell Trail). There are some boardwalk sections on the Bluebell Trail. Some vegetation has grown up or is encroaching on the single track along Cedar Run. Dogs are not permitted in the Wildlife Management Area.
Merrimac Farm WMA is located at 15020 Deepwood Lane, Nokesville VA. The parking area is at the end of Deepwood Lane, at the location shown on the map below.
Start time is 1:00 pm
Registration will allow us to track the number of participants, and notify you if the hike is postponed or cancelled because of weather conditions.
