2nd Sunday Hike – Feb 11, 2024 – Discovery Trail

Join us for the 2nd Sunday Hike on the Discovery Trail which is part of the Eco-Park at the PWC landfill. The trail head is at the Independent Hill ball fields & soccer fields, and the trail connects to Colgan High School, Benton Middle School, and Coles Elementary School. New kiosks with trail maps and information about the landfill and Eco-Park were recently installed. The outdoor classrooms along the trail have been renovated since our last hike on this trail. This is a natural surface, established trail. Hiking distance (out and back) is about 3 miles.
Park in the parking lot for the ball fields, and meet at the trail head. The landfill address is 14811 Dumfries Rd, Manassas, VA 20112
Start time is 1:00 pm
Registration will allow us to track the number of participants, and notify you if the hike is postponed or cancelled because of weather conditions.
