National Trail’s Day hike at Locust Shade Park – Saturday June 6, 2026

Join us in celebrating National Trail’s Day with a hike at Locust Shade Park on Saturday June 6, 2026.
A volunteer leader from the Mid-Atlantic Off-Road Enthusiasts (MORE) mountain biking group will lead the hike and talk about the trail system that MORE has developed in the Park. We’ll hike about 2 miles on natural surface trails. This will be a NO DOGS hike since it will include some trails normally reserved for biking only, where dogs are not permitted. Please register here

Park and meet at the Trailhead in Locust Shade Park
Start time is 1:00 pm
Registration will allow us to track the number of participants, and notify you if the hike is postponed or cancelled because of weather conditions.
