2nd Sunday Hike – April 14, 2024 – Powell’s Creek Trail (north side of Powell’s Creek)

Join us for the 2nd Sunday Hike on the north side of Powell’s Creek in the Port Potomac community of Woodbridge. This is a segment of the Potomac Heritage National Scenic Trail, and we’ll see potential sites for the planned Powell’s Creek crossing. Please register here
This hike is on a natural surface trail with some sections of boardwalk. There may be some wet areas.
We’ll divide the hike into two segments:
1. from the powerlines, head east towards Leesylvania Park and return; about two miles.
2. for those who want to continue, we’ll head west from the powerlines toward Rt 1 and return; about two miles.
Meet at the trail head on Scuppers Lane, under the powerlines, in the Port Potomac community. On-street parking is available along Scuppers Lane.
Start time is 1:00 pm
Registration will allow us to track the number of participants, and notify you if the hike is postponed or cancelled because of weather conditions.
