Volunteers were able to assist with trail maintenance by clearing downed trees from the trails at Ben Lomond Regional Park after high winds had toppled them. Large trees had come down along the main trail on the utility corridor in several places (marked on the map below). In addition, the volunteers cleared a portion of the trail along Bull Run in the vicinity of the soccer fields where trees had fallen onto the trail over time.
There were still acres of bluebells in bloom at the Park when this work was completed (on Thursday, April 6). The trails at Ben Lomond Regional Park offer scenic views of Bull Run, and a beautiful bluebell display at this time of year.
