Many thanks to the hard-working volunteers who participated in the Marumsco Creek & wetland cleanup. About 50 volunteers picked up 119 bags of trash, 15 tires, and various other items, including:
road construction barrel
office chair
trash bin on wheels
cooler
several stacks of 5 gallon buckets
TV
plastic car bumper
The work of these volunteers significantly reduced the amount of plastic pollution in this natural resource. The PWC Dept of Parks, Recreation and Tourism provided staff and vehicles to haul away the trash that was collected.
