Over 40 volunteers came out on a chilly and windy morning to participate in the cleanup, and remove trash which had been carried down Neabsco Creek by storm water. Working at the wooded flood plain site behind Neabsco Eagles Park and the PWC Service Authority facility, volunteers gathered over 70 bags of trash and 28 tires. Another crew worked along the creek in the vicinity of Neabsco Creek Court, where they gathered about 60 bags of trash and 7 tires.
Thanks to Scout Troop 501, and all of the other volunteers who devoted their time to cleaning up one of our waterways.
Here’s a gallery of photos from the cleanup.
