After delays due to the extended period of rain, work continued on the Lake Ridge trail section along the reservoir, and this Parks Department project is nearing completion (at three of the five erosion sites). Culverts have been installed, with stone at the inlet and outlet ends to prevent erosion. Check dams have been installed to slow water flow. Coir erosion control fabric has been installed on the sides of the basins at the culvert inlets. PWC Public Works (the agency performing the work) is restoring the trail where it was impacted by use of heavy equipment. A stone base and new gravel surface was installed at several low wet sections. Some grading work was done, and grass seed and straw were put down along the sides of the trail. This photo gallery shows the trail progress as of May 28, 2016.
