Lake Ridge trail workday – RE-SCHEDULED -Sunday July 12, 12:00 – 3:00 pm

The workday has been re-scheduled for Sunday, July 12, 12:00 – 3:00 pm.  Come out to help open the next segment of the Lake Ridge trail. We’ll be working to make the trail connection between Hedges Run Drive and Mohican Road. There is an existing trail through the woods for much of this section, but we need to open the end where the trail will meet Hedges Run Dr, and more clearly delineate the trail at the end where it meets Mohican Rd.   The segment we will work on is identified as Phase III in the trail agreement between the PWC Parks Dept and the Lake Ridge Parks & Recreation Association.  This section can be opened by work that is very suitable for volunteers.  It will involve trimming along the trail, clearing fallen branches, and raking aside leaves.  The trail route is shown in the exhibits below.
