Doves Landing exploratory walk

PWTSC will conduct a walk through Doves Landing to explore existing trails in the interior of the property, and walk to the old farm site – a point of historic interest.  Doves Landing has well-established trails along the waterways that bound the property, but additional trails or trail segments are present in the interior as well.  Some may be useful in completing a trail network in the future.  Prince William County officials held a series of public hearings and community meetings on Doves Landing in 2013, culminating in approval of a Master Plan for the site.  The plan calls for establishing a public park for passive recreational uses, and preservation of cultural and natural resources (consistent with Alternative C of the Master Plan).
