A new 110-foot bridge was installed by the PWC Dept of Parks, Recreation and Tourism (DPRT) on the Occoquan Greenway Trail in Lake Ridge on May 19, 2023. The bridge is in Segment 3 of the trail, between Hedges Run Drive and Mohican Road (location shown on map below). This new bridge and the re-aligned trail bypass three stream crossings in the route of the old trail (which followed the sewer line corridor).
Although the new bridge is in place, there is still work to do at the site. The bridge and new trail are expected to be open by mid to late June.
