The Prince William Trails and Streams Coalition held a Fun Paddle on September 15 from below Lake Jackson Dam where they and the PWC Park Authority established a new public put-in point for area paddlers and fishermen last November. PWTSC wishes to thank the Riverview Estates HOA that permitted use of their HOA park & launch area as the take-out point. A total of 15 persons made the 5.5 mile trip downstream (using one canoe and 11 kayaks). This beautiful outdoor venture included sightings of blue herons, a wild turkey, and a number of turtles sunning themselves on logs and rock outcroppings.
